Has Grey's Anatomy jumped the shark?

I think Grey's Anatomy has jumped the shark. What's the deal with the ongoing Izzie and dead Denny storyline? Can't the writers find enough dramatic content in a hospital, complex family, friend and lover relationships? Do they have to keep bringing back a character they killed off? Really?

My opinion may not be universally held (see this post from Daytime Confidential). Hey, I can handle shows with supernatural storylines that are beyond the scope of normal, conventional beliefs. I like the show True Blood for example, with it's vampires and people who can hear people's thoughts or shape shifters, and Life On Mars and its time-traveling cop. But I want to know I'm expected to suspend disbelieve from the outset based on the plot.

I'm not saying I'm completely done watching Grey's Anatomy, but my loyalty to any network TV show is tenuous at best, given writers' strikes and odd-ball, on-again, off-again schedules, I can find something else to do with my time in any hour time slot -- like watching old Happy Days reruns.

Bravo! Well Said. The show is jumping the shark. I really like the show, but last night's episode was so disappoibting. I hate to say it, but I might be moving on.

The show HAS jumped the shark. ENOUGH with whiney Izzy and bringing back Denny...I have officially jumped off the Grey's bandwagon. There has to be something else better to watch. An infomerical maybe.

I second (third, fourth?) that Grey's has jumped the shark. I mean, really. Seeing him was one thing, but c'mon. He needs to go away!

Gary - you nailed it. I said to my wife right after watching the "denny returns" episode - "Grey's has officially jumped the shark" to which she replied "Do what?". After I explained what that meant she totally agreed. We've been dedicated fans since the start of the series and are now losing interest.

They could have milked the interns' botched appendectomy more. Izzy certainly has enough acting talent to interact with characters other than Denny. He's dead ... end it already!

Unless they have a great story to end the "Denny Thing", they've jumped the shark. I'm sorry for that because that was the only worth enough show that I'm watching.

I think it jumped the shark long before.....when Meredith comes back (without brain damage) after being dead for a long time when she falls in the water.
